since it was the feast of the black nazarene in quiapo yesterday, i think it’s kind of appropriate to post this. my one and only shot of the quiapo church. 

wait, i’m not catholic. i recall snapping this shot of the church is the middle of a search for street children for some requirement in a subject in 1st year college.

close up. these are the rice grains harvested from the rice field. these are dried for some days so that the brown coating can easily be removed via polishing. technically speaking, the white rice in the market is the polished rice, with all of the covering removed. on the other hand, brown rice retains some of the covering (semi-polished)
